Guiding Question: Why is physical fitness a personal matter?

Because a person can determine their level of physical fitness through their attitude, if they are able to keep an open mind, and if they give 100% of their possible effort.

Guiding Question: How do some people neglect their health by choosing not to participate in physical activity?

Due to the fact that some of these people may not have good athletic abilities and thus believe that they are incapable of becoming physically fit. Also there is the influence of heredity and the media both of which affect one's personal feelings on physical fitness.

Guiding Question: What are the primary health risk factors, and which ones may be controlled?

Inactivity, obesity, high blood pressure, high levels of cholesterol, stress & tension, and smoking are all health risk factors that can be controllled. Gender, age, heredity are the primary health risk factors that cannot be controlled by a person.

Guiding Question: What benefits are gained by excercising?

Some of the benefits gained by being physcially active are: improved appearance, improved self-esteem, and improved mental health.

Guiding Question: What is the relationship between wellness and personal fitness?

Personal fitness is part of physical wellness. It is by improving one's personal fitness that one can improve their physical wellness.

A personal fitness program is a personal record which tracks your progress of your personal fitness.
